Brief History of Gramophones
A gramophone is an old music player that Thomas Edison invented in 1877. It records and reproduces sound through analog signals, which were the main thing people listened to before digital recordings existed. In the 1940s, you could find these things on pretty much every street corner because they played all of your favorite music from back then: jazz standards, folk songs about love lost or found again - it had something for everyone! However, as time went by (and we entered into the '60s), more modern machines became available like cassette players and radios; but there will always be a place in our hearts for those "wonderful sounds" emitted from these machines—one can only hope its importance isn't forgotten with time...
